The final reports from the Sustainable Urban Neighbourhoods Network were launched at the RICS to a packed audience on Tuesday 21 February, and the recommendations are being well received.

You can obtain both the full research report and the shorter Solutions paper, which is aimed at local authorities,  by going into Nicholas Falk’s blog.

There is a good chance that there will be further events, so watch this space.

Last night URBED won a 2012 Urban Design Award.

URBED were joint winners in the Practice category for our work on Brentford Lock West, please see the project entry for more information, David attended the evening to collect the award. A big thanks to Johannes Tovatts, Klas Tham, Tibbalds and Stockleys who worked so hard on the project! 

We are pleased to welcome Eleni Kalkantzi to the URBED team. Eleni is a civil engineer and has moved from Greece, she will be working on sustainability assesments and strategies.

2up2dwn's own bakery is having an open meeting on Wednesday 1st February, 6pm at the former Mitchells Bakery, 199 Oakfield Road, Anfield, Liverpool. Join the team of local residents, young people and artists working on the project for drinks nibbles and information. Homebaked is a Liverpool Biennial Project.
