Nicholas Falk was asked to comment on the legacy of the Olympic games by Londons Evening Standard. His letter was published in the paper Tuesday 11 September 2012 pg 54. It reads:
FOR centuries the East End has been west and cental London's poor relation, the place where the dirty work gets done. Many will have been astonished not just by the physical clean-up that has taken place but by the complex railway infrastructure and exciting new developments in places such as Stratford and Bow.

Paris - Second meeting of Series Nine of TEN Group
The TEN Group’s visit to major regeneration projects in Paris on September 27, 28, uncovered a new approach to planning and financing large scale housing and employment projects. Meetings with Parisian planners and Architects revealed the importance of politicians with the ‘passion’ to create great places, and the value of sharing experience between London and Paris. The lessons will be fed back to the wider group on Wednesday 28th at 6pm at the Building Centre, Store Street, London.
URBED would like to invite members of the Sustainable Urban Neighbourhoods Network to visit Graylingwell Park in Chichester, hosted by Galliford Try, which is one of the best examples of saving energy. The day comprises of two sessions and it would be great if you are able to attend both. If you are only available for only one session that is fine too.

Walsall Mural Installation Complete
United Creatives recently completed their first installation of a hand painted wall mural whiahc stretches along a 22m long, (previously dull) patch of concrete and not only acts to direct pedestrians to some of the towns hidden gems, but also engenders civic pride by conveying some interesting facts about the town. Carbon Co-op is launching a new Manchester-based programme to help owner occupiers improve the fabric of their homes, reducing utility bills and carbon emissions. To celebrate they are staging a free tour of local eco-houses, all from the top of our red double-decker routemaster bus. Complimentary food and refreshments will be available on the bus. The tour is suitable for householders living in any kind of home or flat.
