The latest Urban Design Quarterly (Spring Issue 126) includes an article; The Oxford Charter by Jon Rowland and Nicholas Falk based on a recent Urban Design Group conference at Oxford Brookes.  It sets out ten principles for developing Oxford.  You can get hold of the entire journal by visiting the Urban Design Group website.

Public Consultation Announced

URBED are holding a public consultation at the site on Wednesday 24th April 2013.

Location: De La Salle College, Weaste Lane, Salford, M6 8QS.

Time: 4:30 - 8:30pm...a short presentation will be held at 7:30pm.

The evening is a drop-in-session intended for local residents, businesses and stakeholders to take a look at and comment on our proposals for housing on the site. Memebers of the design team will be on hand to answer questions.

Planning Advisory Service Conference in Cambridge

On 21 March 2013 Nicholas Falk spoke at a conference on the National Planning Policy Framework for local authority councillors and officers where he explored the links between infrastructure and development.  Cambridgeshire has been leading the way in the UK in putting its spatial plan into effect.  Permission has been granted for the first phases of the new town of Northstow, on route of the Guided Bus, which already runs past the new settlement of Orchard Park.  Even more exciting developments are taking place in the Southern Fringe, and around Addenbrookes Hospital.  Exciting new housing

Second Consultation Workshop Announced

URBED would like to invite you to our second consultation event in Garston.

The session will take place from  5-7pm on Tuesday 16th April 2013 at the new Enterprise South Liverpool Academy.

We have come up with a number of options for a masterplan, taking on board comments from the previous consultation evening and stakeholder meetings. We will be displaying these options on the day and would love to get your feedback and hear what you think.
