This piece of work forms the first phase of a masterplan for one of Europe's largest and oldest industrial/ employment parks - Trafford Park. URBED were commissioned in April 2008 to undertake a comprehensive urban design baseline assessment.
The study area is vast - approximately 5km in breadth and URBED have had to refine and adapt their toolkit, even more than usual, in order to understand its unique characteristic fabrics.
Ekosgen - regeneration consultants based in Manchester - were leading on the project, coordinating a team that comprises URBED in charge of urban design input, CBRE as commercial agents and WSP as transport consultants.
