In October 2008 members of the TEN Group spent two days in Belfast looking at how to tackle worklessness and social cohesion in areas undergoing development. The report of the visit summarises the background and context, describes the places we saw, and the lessons that emerged. Some of the Group also visited Dublin, which provided a useful contrast. The TEN Group is a small group of senior local government officers in London who met regularly, through study tours and meetings facilitated by URBED, to share ideas and exchange knowledge on how to achieve urban renaissance. Through looking and learning they visit pioneering projects to draw out lessons that can be applied in their own authorities.
