This report on the areas of Hollin and North East Middleton was prepared for Rochdale Development Agency and Rochdale Council to assist as a Strategic Development Framework for two of the third wave Housing Market Renewal (HMR) neighbourhoods.

This project built on URBED's work in Inner Rochdale and the Rochdale SUN initiative. At its root is a sustainable neighbourhood where people live out of choice rather than necessity. This is a piece of work that identifies key strands for creating and enhancing sustainable communities through planning, careful intervention and environmental improvements.
