The 2008 Academy of Urbanism symposium was held in Liverpool to coincide as part of Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture. The event was entitled Towards a new Urbanism: An international symposium on the 21st Century City and was prompted by the major Le Corbusier Exhibition in Liverpool organised by the RIBA Trust.
David Rudlin gave a presentation on the legacy of Le Corbusier in terms of his impact of the design of urban areas and the way in which we view architects.
