Brierfield Railway Street masterplan was the second of three masterplans to be developed for the Brierfield and Reedley neighbourhoods of Pendle – the initial one covered the canal corridor in Brierfield. The Railway Street neighbourhood is bordered by the railway line and Burnley/ Colne Road and stretches from the Massey Street area down to the junction with Glen Road.
This masterplanning project was undertaken by a team led by URBED working with King Sturge, Transportation Planning Partnership (TPP) and Simon Fenton Associates. The project has been supported by a steering group consisting of a wide range of regeneration and planning officers, Councillors from Pendle BC and representatives from HMR pathfinder Elevate East Lancashire.
This work will progress the Area Development Framework which was completed in 2004.
