Bermondsey Square, developed by Igloo Regeneration Ltd, was completed almost two years ago. Bermonsday Square achieved a 'Best Practice' rating against Igloo's Footprint Sustainability Policy, as well as 'Good' BREEAM and 'Very Good' Ecohomes ratings.
The Technology Strategy Board's 'Building Performance Evaluation' is a project that will last 24 months, during which the actual energy performance of Bermondsey Square's buildings will be monitored. In order to evaluate buildings' performance, Technical Memorandum 22: Energy Assessment and Reporting Methodology (TM22 Tool) will be used. TM22 - 2012 is developed by CIBSE and allows for a whole building detailed energy assessment. We will also conduct 'Building User Survey' questionnaires to understand the perceptions of those who work in the development and monitor environmental conditions within the buildings.
