URBED together with Marsh Grochowski Architects developed the proposals for a developer competition run by Nottingham City Council. The council selected a preferred developer to redevelop the ‘Cross Wall Flats’ on Pitcairn Close and Hobart Close in the Meadows. This was in line with the Neighbourhood Development Plan for the Meadows and the 84 one bed flats are to be replaced with 73 new family homes. The developer is a consortium including the builders William Davis, ASRA Housing Association and Blueprint, who together have developed the Green Street scheme in the Meadows.

The scheme includes 73 new homes: 19 four bed houses, 40 three beds and 14 two beds. 34 of the homes will be for sale and another 21 for affordable rent with the rest being a mix of shared ownership and shared equity. The scheme will be an evolution of the nearby award winning Green Street development designed Marsh Grochowski. Most of the flats on the site are now empty and the council will be demolishing them early in the new year. Planning Application Submitted

A full planning application was submitted to Nottingham City Council on 19th July 2013 for each of the three parts of the scheme on Pitcairn Close, Hobart Close and Wilford Crescent West.

The applications are currently being processed by the council but you can follow and view each application here:

Hobart Close/ Bathley Street: 13/01718/PFUL3

P+H Consultation Event June 2013

The proposals for the sites at the Meadows, presented in November 2012, were generally well received by the residents and the local community. In recent months, the design team have been developing and updating the proposals. The proposed scheme is a residential development of 74 new homes. We are going to be displaying the proposals on Wednesday 5th June at 2 exhibitions in the Meadows, Nottingham, details are below. Please come along and let us know your views on the proposals.

P&H Consultation Event

There is a consultation event on Tuesday 27th November from 12-3pm at The Meadows One Stop Shop in the Bridgeway Shopping Centre and from 4-7pm at The Embankment. Representatives of the developers, their design team and the council will be on hand to answer questions.
