Learning from the Netherlands

URBED have made numerous study tours to Dutch new settlements and we believe much can be learnt from the Netherlands. We think it is a good time to highlight some of our recent study reports.

The report Learning from the Netherlands from our first study tour was funded by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation for the SUNN (Sustainable Urban Neighbourhoods Network) in 2011. The second report, Dutch New Communities is for the Oxford City Council/ Grosvenor Estates Joint Venture to plan Barton Park, and was in 2012. The third report The Vinex Story: New Dutch suburbs contains comments from participants.
