Aarhus Congress – Innovation and experimentation in city making

This innovative Danish city, currently City of Culture, is leading new approaches to contemporary housing, neighbourhoods, and active, inclusive citizenship. By tearing up and re-writing the rulebook it is Rethinking and shaping a New Culture of Urbanism. A must visit event for all who care about cities and their communities.

The event will be a combination of insightful talks, a variety of tours and workshops, and presentations providing local and international perspectives on the shaping of future places.

There will be Danish and international speakers, site visits, hands-on sessions, an urbanists dinner, and an audience with Jan Gehl.

The Academy are delighted to announce that Prof Rob Adams AM, Director of City Design and Projects at the City of Melbourne, will be delivering our keynote address. 

This is an Academy of Urbanism led event, supported by the City of Aarhus, Nordic City Network and International Federation of Housing and Planning.
