Wolfgang Küchler

Wolfgang joined URBED in October 2021 as Retrofit Lead Architect. With extensive experience in delivering housing projects, including community-led estate refurbishments such as Broadwater Farm in Tottenham, retrofit of significant listed buildings in Bristol, and winning the ES award “Best affordable housing scheme in the South-East” for The Edge in Brighton, he has spent the last two years gaining additional low-carbon building knowledge, including training as a Retrofit Coordinator.

He is a member of the AECB and the Green Register, and has written on sustainable recovery and large-scale retrofit in local and specialist publications. He has been actively involved in grassroots housing and environmental action including founding and promoting tenants’ and residents’ associations and alternative plans for local areas. He won the RIBA South-West’s “Living Cities” ideas competion with “Garden City Bristol” in 2015.

When time allows he likes to make music.
