Stephanie Fischer

Stephanie is lecturer in Urban Design at Liverpool University and long-time friend and collaborator of URBED.

Stephanie trained as a Town & Regional Planner at the Technical University of Cottbus/Germany and now lives in Liverpool. Prior to taking up her current role at the University of Liverpool she worked as a Urban Designer at URBED, where the main focus of her work was masterplanning, urban design and regeneration of brownfield sites.

Steph was responsible for much of URBED’s work in Bury including the masterplans for Bury and Radcliffe town centre. She provided urban design input to the Oldham Beyond Vision, which included a borough wide urban design analysis, the town centre masterplan, the HMR area (Werneth Freehold) and work with S333 architects in Amsterdam to coordinate a series of smaller demonstrator masterplans across the borough. She worked on masterplans for Leeds Otley, Telford Millennium Village, and Selby, where she also acted as project manager. Stephanie organised public consultation events for projects including Oldham, Radcliffe and Selby and worked with communities in Oldham and Rochdale as part of URBED’s Design for Change workshops.
