Sarah Hughes

Sarah provides the financial management of the company and is the Company Secretary, while also working on some projects. Recently these have including creating a financial model for a disused building in Huddersfield to be turned into cultural industry workspaces and working on the financial model for the Carbon Co-op / Carbon Savings Society, which looked at how FIT and grant income could be recycled to allow more profitable aspects of house retrofits to subsidise whole house low carbon retrofit work. She is currently working on a similar project for Reading Council.

Since completing a BSc (Hons) degree in Management Sciences at UMIST Sarah has provided financial and business management support to a number of small organisations, from a small scale steel fabrication company providing local employment and training to the Confederation of Co-operative Housing.  She has been a trustee of ICOF (Industrial & Common Ownership Finance) Ltd, an organisation providing over £4million of loans to co-operatives and social enterprises and is also the Workspace Manager at Work for Change co-operatively managed workspace, a not for profit company providing space for local businesses in Hulme.
